How To Plan The Perfect Travel Experience | AD*

Are you thinking of going travelling soon or in the not too distant future? If you are, then you might need some advice on how you can plan the perfect travel experience. There are a lot of things to consider, and I have made a list of them for you down below so that you don’t have to scour the internet to find the information that you need. If you are interested in finding out more about planning the travel experience of your dreams, then keep reading down below where you will find lots of helpful advice to make this time one of the best! Let’s take a look at some of the things that you need to consider in order for this to happen.

Sit Down And Plan
The absolute first thing that you need to do is sit down and plan out your trip. Now, there are a variety of different parts that make up your plan, so you need to make sure that you are not missing anything out. The first part is the budget. You need to make sure that you have an airtight budget before you step foot on the plane. This needs to include somewhere to stay, money for food, paying for the trip itself, buying gifts, travelling around while you are there and then an emergency fund just in case. All of these things need to be included and costed in your plan, most of which we are going to go into a little further down.

Other than these things, you need to ensure that you have a plan for everything that you want to see and do while you are travelling. Too many people say that there is something that they want to see or something that they want to do and then because they didn’t have a plan, there is no time while you are over there. Or, you forget because it has been pushed to the side in favour of other things. You don’t want this to happen because then when you come home, you are going to feel as though you missed out on some of the things that you were really excited for.

Always Have A Backup
It is essential that you always have a backup no matter what you do, and travelling is no different. What we mean by this is that you should be budgeting enough to have money to fall back on if things don’t go the way you think they will. Further, than this, you should also have a backup plan for everything else. So, what happens if they lose your suitcase at the airport? That’s okay because half of your belongings were in your companion's suitcase so you are okay. If you aren’t travelling with someone else, then try to get a few of the essentials in your hand luggage so that you know you have some kind of clothes if things go a little wrong.

You also need to be careful with planning activities that take place outside because if it rains, this might not be possible. As such, we recommend that you have an inside and an outside plan just in case you can no longer complete something that was on your list due to bad weather.  Or, it could even be the case that something else is stopping you from doing this, but the point is that you need to have an alternative all planned out.

Get Yourself A Map
Some travellers are desperate to avoid seeming like a tourist, but you should not be afraid to use a map to navigate your way around. Most people these days can use an app on their smartphones, but have you considered that by using a map you are getting a more authentic travel experience? There really isn’t anything quite like using a map to navigate your way around somewhere new, and you should not deny yourself this if you can avoid it!

Find Somewhere To Live

Finding somewhere to stay for the duration of your travel adventure is going to be important, and you need to think about this carefully. For example, are you going to rent one place to stay and travel to and from there each day meaning that your adventures are going to be somewhat limited for the time that you are in this accommodation? Or, are you going to find somewhere new in each city or town? These are both good options depending on where you have decided to go, but it all comes down to what you can afford and what is most convenient. If you think about it, you can probably get a house for rent in Penang Georgetown for a decent price if Asia is on your list, or you could stay in hotels or hostels. In the end, it is all about what you want to do, and where you are going to feel most comfortable, just ensure that it is sorted before you leave your home.

Stick To Your Budget
Sticking to your budget is an important part of any adventure, but it is also often the hardest. Keep in mind that you have sat down and created this budget for a reason, and now sticking to it is going to be the hard part. However, if you don’t, then you could find getting more funds a challenge which is not going to help you when you are stuck in a foreign country with no more money. If you are worried about this, then you should be literally planning out every penny of your money. You are far more likely to stick to your budget if you feel as though you don’t have any wiggle room to play with. As well as this, you have got to consider paying for things like accommodation and travel upfront in the hopes that this will help you here too!

I hope that you have found this post helpful, and now know how you can plan the best possible travel experience. I hope that you have a wonderful time and that your adventure is everything that you hoped it would be!
