Kitchen Tour + a Tasty Easter meal Idea | House Tour*

You may have seen my two previous posts where I showed you my new bath room and dressing room, todays post is all about the kitchen. As well as showing you my new space I thought I would share with you a few new items that I have recently been sent from Debenhams. They are helping to create a perfect Easter lunch and I decided to do my own take on this :)

Firstly, I picked up this hand soap and matching hand cream from & Other Stories before we moved in and decided to have them in the kitchen. This is honestly the best scent I have ever smelt! If you are ever passing a store you should go in and use the testers as they smell incredible. (I also have the body wash in my bath room too).

I decided to paint all of the walls of the kitchen as then needed a freshen up. We first thought yellow may look nice however after using a tester we decided against it and went for a duck egg blue colour instead. The other walls we painted white. We also painted all of the kitchen cupboards, they again just needed a refresh as they looked slightly dis-coloured.

The table I also painted, it was just plain wood to start with and I decided to use a blue/grey colour for the chairs and table top and white on the legs. We bought the cushions from Ikea for a few pounds each and used varnish for the top to make it a wipe clean surface. Perfect way to update an old piece of furniture.

The kitchen already had these grey tiles in place and we really liked them so we decided to keep them. We do eventually want to change the window to white however we will need to save a little first. I didn't really want too much out on the side but I love having this plant on the windowsill. I picked up on our trip to Ikea and it is still going strong.

We bought cream appliances from Russel Hobbs before we moved in and I was really worried that they wouldn't match once we had painted the walls white. However, I thought they still looked nice and I think white may have looked cheap.

The Tea, Coffee & Sugar tins where from dotcomgiftshop.com which is my favourite online store for quirky home wears. I also have the matching sweets, biscuits and cake tins too.

So, on to the actual cooking! I was sent a lovely package from Debenhams to help me create a Easter lunch! I went for something that would be perfect for Good Friday... Fish!

In the package there was this great chopping board from Joseph and Joseph it is angled to help with drainage and is non-slip.

I decided on making Salmon dish. I covered the pieces with chopped cherry tomatoes, garlic, oil and basil I then wrapped them in tin foil and popped them in the oven. I also had some spinach and sweetcorn fritters so I cooked those too.

I bought an oven tray before we moved in and it ended up being too wide for the oven so I was over the moon when Debenhams sent me this new one!

I used my amazing new potato ricer from Joseph and Joseph to make some mashed potatoes. Its so easy to use and it makes the best mash ever :) I added some butter and garlic to it to add a little more flavour.

I added some broccoli to complete the meal and thats that! It tasted devious and was pretty easy to cook too. It would be easy enough to make for a lovely family Easter dinner this weekend!

I also just wanted to give a mention to these Joseph & Joseph measuring cups! I have wanted some of these for so long as I always find recipes online that use cup measurements and I can never create them however, now I can :D!

Thank you so much to Debenhams for helping me put this post together and sending me such great products! I hope you all have a lovely Easter weekend.
