A weekend in the Lakes | Travel

This weekend we stayed in a delightful little cottage in the lakes! Specifically, in a village called Greystoke in Ullswater. We met up with 6 of our friends for a chilled weekend of eating, drinking and the occasional walk. I took a few photos so I thought I would share them with you :)

We took a stroll to the Greystoke Castle which is over 1000 years old! It was such a lovely area and was a nice little morning stroll. It probably would have been nicer if it wasn't raining, but never mind.

For some reason I did take any photos inside of our cottage, which is ridiculous as it was amazing inside. So for those who are nosey it was the Coach House which we found on Cumbrian Cottages. 8 of us stayed there in the 4 rooms. It was huge inside and had everything we needed for a fab weekend.

We visited the Ullswater lake however as the weather wasn't great we only walked for around an hour. It was still really nice to have a walk and the scenery was beautiful.

After a rainy walk we popped in to a local tea room and all had a cup of tea and some cake. I opted for a scone which was delicious.

We had such a lovely chilled out weekend with our friends and I would recommend the area and the cottage if you fancy doing something similar.
