Overlooked places in Britain that you should visit

Carrying on from my previous post about being proud to be British todays post is all about the fantastic places you can visit here!

A lot of people come to the United Kingdom and visit London as it’s the capital, and is most well-known. And there are a lot of things you can do in the city such as sightseeing and shopping. But there are some other great places around the UK which often get overlooked. Here are some places you should visit.

Warwick Castle
Warwick Castle is often overlooked as an attraction, but the historic building has a lot to offer for everyone. It’s a Merlin Attraction meaning that a lot of people visit it to have a great day as a family. The amazing surroundings are a draw as you will get some fantastic photos. They also have shows such as archery and birds of prey which are fantastic to watch. You can also climb the tower and see views all over the area. It’s somewhere you can spend the whole day that all ages can enjoy.

Stonehenge
A lot of people don’t realise that Stonehenge is one of the top wonders of the world. Therefore, if you’re visiting the UK, you need to go and visit the very famous stones. You will be amazed when you actually see the landmark, and it’s a great place to take some fantastic photos. You can go on stonehenge tours where you will find out more about the attraction and be able to find it without getting lost!

The Broads
One of the ten national parks in the UK, the Broads in Suffolk is often overlooked. But it’s home to 400 rare species and has astonishing views that you will love. If you stay in the area, you can go on so many walks as the surroundings are beautiful. If you’re looking for something more adventurous, there are a lot of watersports in the area for you to try. As discussed here, there are many beautiful country pubs in the area for you to grab a pint from as well! This is a must do we children! I loved going when I was younger.

The Universities in Cambridge
A lot of people have heard of Cambridge, but don’t know how much you can do in the area. As well as looking at the world famous Universities which only accept the smartest students, you can also go punting on the river which is a lot of fun. You get to enjoy beautiful views while helping the students who work there earn some pennies. There are also some fantastic museums and shops to keep you busy during the day, and some great restaurants and bars for the evening.

The Eden Project
Another secret gem in the United Kingdom is the Eden Project, which is hidden in the beautiful area of Cornwall. Visitors to the Eden Project can see stunning gardens and can learn more in the interactive displays. Fans of nature will love finding out more about the conservation research that they do there. They also have concerts and events on there during the year. I havnt been here either but it is some where that I would love to go.
