Desk Hauling with the Think Money Group | Haul*

A boring office space can definately make your day feel dull and unproductive so when the Think Money group got in touch with me asking if I would like to join their home office campaign* I was delighted as I love a good stationary haul! (Any excuse) I was defiantly excited to spruce up my desk area. Unfortunately I forgot to take a 'before' photo but just image a plain white desk with a little photo of me on and a candle with my laptop and thats about it. It was quiet boring having nothing around me and just seeing white so I thought I would add a touch of colour and a few homely touches to make it feel a bit more like I had my Sh* together :)

Mug / Next
Outfit of the day doodle book / T K Maxx

I love all of the stationary from Busy B and this calendar is a perfect addition to my desk. It has just enough space to add little notes i.e which posts are going live, giveaways etc.

I love having little note pads and sticky notes on my desk so I can easily scribble down something to remember. also its good to make lists. I picked up this clipboard as I thought the pattern on it was so cute and would be perfect as a background so some of my blog images and Instagram pics !

Diary / T K Maxx
I love having a diary that you can physically write it. I much prefer it so that I can fully see everything that I have planned. I also love seeing all the plans I have. This one is perfect as it is big enough to write everything I need for each day.

My little space feels a lot more professional, put together and inspiring now. Big Thank you to the Think money group for helping me spruce the place up a bit. Have you thought about having a re-vamp recently ? What room would you love to make over? Why not read up on home owner loans on the Ocean finance website here* to make your dream home make overs a reality.

*This post was in collaboration with the Think Money group and they provided me with the money to buy items to put together this stationary haul :)

Benefit 'That Gal' | Sample Sunday

I can not remember where I picked this up from but Im glad I had it. I really loved using this, I used it on top of cheek bone, under my eyes to brighten them up and on my brow bone to brighten that area up too. For this little sample size it lasted really well so I can image that the full size lasting a really really long time. The full size costs £22.50 so not the cheapest primer but I think this is a little luxury that may be worth it. I sometime used this underneath my eye shadow too which made the whole eye area look a lot brighter and it did help it to last a lot longer too. I would definately reccomend if you are looking for a new brightening primer.

Where Do You Go To Relax? | Lifestyle*

Just breath - inspirational quote

Lots of us lead very busy lives these days. I think I am a much busier person than my grandparents had to be. Times have changed. These days we are connected twenty-four hours a day. We can work longer hours by working on the go, so we usually do. And juggling a full-time career with raising a young family is definitely going to keep anyone busy.

Those of us who face very full lives often claim we don’t have time to prioritize ourselves. But we all need to take care of our health. We need to find the time to prepare and cook healthy, nutritious meals. We need to take the time to exercise and be more active. But most importantly, we need to make the time to relax.

Relaxing helps us to clear our minds and regain our focus. It helps to ease those tense muscles and provides us with a time out from the hustle and bustle of our lives. Not all of us make the time we need to relax. This can lead to headaches, stress, anxiety and even depression. We can burn out in only a short time of being overly busy.

It’s good to take yourself away from the hectic places for a little while. There are plenty of places you can go. If you work from home, you can move yourself to a different room for a while. You might head out into the garden or even go for a walk around the block. Getting out of the place that is associated with your stress is really important.

Many of us like to take thirty minutes or so relaxing in bed with a book before going to sleep. This can be a helpful way to relax in the day too. Our bedrooms are designed to help us wind-down in the evening. They are cooler, darker and quieter than other rooms we spend time in. This makes them perfect for relaxing. And if you add one of those luxury king size mattresses into the mix, you can help your whole body to relax.

inspiratinal quote

Beds are designed to support us and provide extra comfort so we can sleep easily all night long. This is why so many of us retreat to our beds when we’re tired, ill, or need to relax for a while. Having a bath can help in the same way. The warm water supports our body and relaxes our muscles. And the bathroom is a quiet escape where we can lock ourselves away for a short time! Light some scented candles and relax.

Some people like to go to Yoga or T’ai Chi classes to help them relax. The physical movements, stretches and poses help the whole body to feel revitalised again. Meditations are also very helpful to calm a busy mind and regain your focus. It’s hard to do if you’re not experienced, though. There are guided meditations available on apps that may help. Then you can find somewhere quiet to do them.

Lots of us love a walk in the fresh air to help clear our minds. Taking a stroll through a park can be a lovely way to forget your worries and take a breather. You can sit by the lake and listen to the birds. Or maybe you just hear the birds in the trees? The rustling of the wind through the leaves of trees makes a woodland walk very enjoyable when you’re looking to get away from it all. And the sound of the waves lapping at the shore on the beach can be one of the most relaxing things of all.

Those that love running use that as a way to get away from it all at the end of a busy day. It helps to burn off all that tension and nervous energy. You can just pop your headphones on and pound the pavement until you feel great again. A cross-country run away from the traffic and other people can be even more beneficial. It’s so good to be surrounded by nature.

Some people like to head into the kitchen a cook when they want to relax. Others spread out on the couch and watch a movie. You might like to do a spot of online gaming to focus all that excess mental energy. Or perhaps head out into the garden and dig up all those weeds! There are lots of ways to relax after a busy day. And there are plenty of great places to do it too. I know I wouldn’t say no to a luxury relaxing spa weekend!

OX Pasture Hall Hotel | Travel Review*

Last weekend I was lucky enough to be invited over to Scarborough to stay in the beautiful Ox pasture Hall hotel. I have actually had this booked in since November but we thought it would be nice to have it as a bit of a New Year treat. We had arranged to go over on Saturday evening. We arrived around 3pm and was greeted by the lovely Lyndsy who explained that we where meant to be in the luxury suite however there was a problem with heating so instead we where to go into the the classic double room. Obviously that was fine with us, we where just happy to be there ! We where asked what time we would like to eat and we agreed on 6:45.

After being showed to our room and dropped off our bags we decided to go for a wander. After walking for a good 15 mins and seeing no sign of other civilisation we decided to head back grab the car and find a pub :) we found a lovely little local pub which was nice and friendly and had a drink there. We then went back to have a bit of chill time before the evening. We had plenty of time to relax and get ready. I took a particular shine to the big fluffy dressing gowns that where supplied in the rooms.

We went over to the bar for a drink before hand and was offered the menu to make of food choices ! I could have had it all to be honest as it all sounded amazing. We where then shown to our table and given a bottle of fizz which set the evening of nicely !! I choose the mushroom soup to start and Darren choose the herring, before this arrived we had some of there homemade bread in different flavours which I thought was a lovely little touch and an amuse bouche which was a little appetiser ! It tasted amazing :) The soup was just as amazing and so was my main course of prawns and scallops. It was a little bit spicy but very well complemented by the sticky jasmine rice (which I could have had a plateful), Darren choose the steak and I'm guessing it tasted as good as it looked! We then had another little palette cleanser of passion fruit sorbet with a whisky sour foam which was very moreish and then finished off with the worlds best sticky toffee pudding and Darren had cheese cake. I can honestly say it was one of the best meals I have had. I would 100% recommend and defiantly go back there just for the food , it deserves its 2-rosettes for culinary excellence award ! Our waiter was always really lovely and nice and chatty to us which I liked :).

We then popped back into the bar for another drink. There was actually a wedding being held on the same night in the venue they have so there where a few guests milling around. We sat ourself next to the big fire and chatted to a nice couple sat next to us who had the cutest dog! They said they had stayed there quiet a few times as they where allowed to bring the dog and he could stay in the room and also come in to the bar which I thought was really nice. Returning to our room we watched a little bit of TV and then fell asleep in the big comfy bed.

The next morning we woke up and got ready for the day and went over to the restaurant again to have our breakfast. This wasn't as peaceful as the evening meal as it was busy with wedding guests. However we just helped ourselves to cereals and pastries and then ordered a full english breakfast each. It all tasted pretty good and set us up for a cold morning walk around Scarborough.

We had such a lovely stay and really would recommend to any one looking for a Scarborough hotel that is a little 5 minute drive from the main town but has potentially the most beautiful scenic views. Thank you Ox Pasture Hall for having us! We hope to see you again :)

Holiday Essentials | Beauty Favourites

I recently went on a winter sun holiday to Hurgada in Eygpt so I thought I would share with you a few little beuaty luxuries that I took with me. I went the day after boxing day so a few of these where little christmas gifts.

I recived this in my 'My little box' in December. I always like to take a moisturiser on holiday with me and as I had this one I thought I may as well try it out. I probably wouldn't have chosen this scent however I really liked it ! It was light and just enough fragrance too it. It moisturised well and I feel like it lasted well too :) I would defiantly recommend if you are looking for a new moisturiser.

I took this on my last holiday too and really liked it. Its mega mega expensive ( I won it in a comp) but I do think its worth it. Its really long lasting as its water proof and its really easily applied. Its a really good consistency compared to other sun lotions which I know sounds odd but some are hard to rub in ! I would never normally buy factor 50 however I use this on my face so that I know that I am fully protected. This has lasted us two holidays and I can probably take it on another :)

This is something I bought a while ago now and it only comes out when I am tanned. It is the perfect glow for when you are sun kissed I use it as a bit of a highlight and then usually i put it across my collor bones. Its a lovely colour and for the price you cant go wrong !

This is one of my favourite lipsticks in my collection. I really like to take this away with me as its not a heavy formula its a bit more like a balm as its moisturising but also has a really good colour pay off. I have this in a peachy colour and I think its lovely with a tan.

I received this in a Liz Earle gift set for christmas. I don't really feel like it serves much purpose but its so lovely to spritz on your face before you apply your make up. I feel like it acts as a bit of a base and makes your face feel really cool and just generally ready. I could live with out it but its a lovely little luxury. I don't think I would purchase the full size unless I was feeling super spendy ;).

What are your favourite products to take on holiday ?

3 Things You Can Do To Look More Fashionable | Fashion*

If you’re interested in the fashion industry, being fashionable should be a high priority for you. Fashion is all about using clothing as an outlet for self-expression and we all have our own ideas on what is stylish and what is not. No matter what kind of style you adopt, there are some universal things we can all do to make ourselves look and feel more fashionable. Take a look at these three ideas and instantly feel like you’re part of the fashion pack.

Always wear one accessory
Accessorising your look can add interest and create a new feel to your look. So never leave the house without at least one accessory. Even the most basic of outfits can be transformed with a statement necklace or colourful handbag. Take the time to experiment with your accessories to determine what works well and what doesn’t. Don’t be afraid to combine bold with simple and vice versa. If you ever feel unsure about which accessory you should be wearing, go for something classic like quality Pearl Jewellery. Pearls are a timeless fashion favourite and go with anything from blazers to jumper dresses. So always have some in your jewellery box just in case.

Go for heels over flats
While flat shoes are more practical, heels will make your look appear more stylish and polished. Even if you decide to wear flats during the day, always wear heels on the evening. Or better yet alternate between them if you can.  If you don’t feel comfortable wearing really high heels, go for a mid heel or a wedge instead. These options will reduce the risk of you getting painful feet during the day and will help you seem more confident. There are so many shoe style to choose from that you are bound to find a pair to suit you. Remember to keep your heels looking like new with regular cleaning and heel replacements. This will keep them looking fabulous for longer and won’t cause any additional pain to your feet.

Show off your best bits
Look in the mirror and think about which part of your body you like the most. Maybe you like your arms instance. Then go through your wardrobe and dress to show this part off to the world. So if you like your arms wear something sleeveless or tight fitting to show off their tone and shape. Mini skirts are great if you think your legs are your best asset and figure hugging party dresses are wonderful at showing off an hourglass figure. This will again make you appear more confident because you know everybody's attention is on a part of your body that you like. Remember to consider where you are going to make sure your clothing is appropriate and you don’t have too much on show.

So whether you’re a vintage girl or prefer a more sports luxe look, use these suggestions to make you even more of a fashionista. They can take your style from high street to high fashion in an instant and make you feel on top of the world with how you look.
